The 'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' star, Saqib Saleem, has been
constantly in focus these days, with two of his Bollywood appearances lined up,
one after another. The young actor will first be seen in the Y-Films
production, MDKM this March, following which, he will make an appearance in a
Dharma Productions short film directed by Karan Johar that will part of the
Bombay Talkies movie. The film will be a tribute to the 100 years of Hindi
cinema.
A source close to Saqib recently said, "Saqib is part
of not one but two films with big banners- YRF and Dharma Productions. Thus
Karan has been showing keen interest in mentoring him for the promotions of
MDKM." The actor has been taken under Dharma Productions chief, Karan
Johar’s wing. The filmmaker will personally mentor the actor and tailor him for
a successful career in B-town. “Saqib will be making his media outing and thus
asked Karan the do's and don't's. Karan who is an ace mentor and gave Saqib
tips on how he should not be conscious while giving interviews to the media and how he should
present himself in public," said the source, adding, "It is really
sweet of him to help Saqib. For a new-comer who is a complete outsider, this is
a great way to understand the industry better. Everyone has seen how well the
debutants of Karan's previous film did. Now, Saqib is looked at in exactly the
same manner".
While Mere Dad Ki Maruti is scheduled to hit cinema screens
on the 15th of March, 2013, Bombay Talkies will release on the 3rd
of May.
